Buford Man Arrested for Child Pornography Possession
On Wednesday, November 2, 2022, Daniel McFalls of Buford, Georgia was arrested and charged with felony sexual exploitation of a minor. McFalls had dropped off his phone at a Gwinnett County cell phone repair shop on October 20, 2022. During the course of the repairs, an employee noticed a pornographic image on the phone and immediately called the Gwinnett County Police Department.
After discovering that McFalls was from Hall County, the case was turned over to the Hall County Sheriff’s Department. Deputies obtained a search warrant for McFalls’ phone and discovered over 300 sexually explicit images of children aged 1 to 14.
McFalls is currently being held in jail without bond.
This case highlights the importance of vigilant employees and their role in reporting criminal activity. The repair shop employee’s quick thinking not only prevented further exploitation of minors but also brought a perpetrator to justice.
