Jeremy Renner Receives Heartwarming Support from Nephew After Snowplow Accident
Jeremy Renner, well-known for his portrayal of Hawkeye in Marvel films, recently received a heartwarming letter from his nephew Auggie as he recovers from a severe snowplow accident. The 52-year-old actor shared the note via Instagram, which read, “I am very lucky because my uncle is hawk-eye. I am also very lucky that my uncle is alive from his accident.” The caption of Renner’s post read, “Love my little man. Bless you, Auggie.”
Renner’s accident occurred on New Year’s Day, during which he suffered over 30 broken bones when his 14,330 pound snowplow ran over him. According to the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office incident report, Renner was crushed as he was attempting to stop the Pistenbully from running over his nephew. It remains unclear if Auggie was the nephew present during the incident as Renner was reportedly spending time with multiple family members.
The Avengers star was rushed to the hospital in critical condition and later diagnosed with blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries. In the months since the accident, Renner has documented his recovery on social media. Last month, he posted a photo of himself on a stationary bike with the caption, “Whatever it takes.” He followed up with an Instagram story, explaining that he’s also working on his “mental recovery,” along with an image of the self-help and motivational book, The Book of Awakening: Having the Life You Want by Being Present to the Life You Have.
Despite the harrowing incident and ongoing recovery, Renner appears to be in high spirits thanks in part to the support of his family, especially his nephew Auggie. Renner’s Instagram post showcasing the letter serves as a reminder of the importance of family and the impact their support can have during difficult times.
